I live in Elkin, North Carolina with my husband, two daughters, and two dogs. I've lived in North Carolina for twenty years now and I think it's one of the most
beautiful places on earth. Weddings here are so special and I feel so lucky that I get to capture them. I went to school for computer programming and ended up in a job where one of my responsibilities was to provide photography for all the brochures and publications we produced. I realized that I really wanted to spend more time shooting and began taking children and family pictures. Then
friends started asking me to shoot their weddings and I fell in love! Nothing is more exciting and fun to me than to shoot a wedding. I love everything about it - the quiet, reflective
moments, the crazy, hectic moments, and everything in between. I know how much planning goes into a wedding, so I always capture every little detail. I've always been more of a quiet,
people-observing kind of person, but I think that works well for me when I'm shooting candid style photographs. I don't like to direct, but just to stand back and watch everything
unfold and capture every second of it!
